The Maltalier is said to be a family friendly, low maintenance designer dog. They grow to approximately 25cm in height and can live for up to 15 years. It is one of the most popular of the cross-bred dogs and was developed in response to a demand for a small, low maintenance pet with a lovely temperament. The Maltese was chosen because of its size and low maintenance. This is tempered with the King Charles Cavalier - a friendly and happy dog which, when it isn't playing, is happy to lie around quietly and unobtrusively. Appropriate for apartments, first dog owners and the elderly.
The Maltese does not shed its coat, however the King Charles Cavalier does, so the Maltalier may be suitable for some mild allergy sufferers. |
